What is great lakes curling association?

The Great Lakes Curling Association (GLCA) is one of the 10 regional curling associations in the United States, covering 11 states in the Great Lakes region, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Founded in 1955, the GLCA aims to promote and develop the sport of curling in the region by providing support to curling clubs, hosting tournaments and events, and offering instructional programs for players of all levels.

The GLCA also coordinates annual regional championships for various age groups and skill levels, including the Great Lakes Mixed and Women's Bonspiels, as well as the Junior Curling Playdowns and College Curling Championships.

In addition to its competitive and instructional programs, the GLCA is also committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for all curlers, regardless of background or experience level.
